Track Exploder – Seal

“Kiss from a Rose”

Seal is a multi-Grammy-winning singer and songwriter from England. His music “Kiss from a Rose” was first launched in 1994, on his second album. It was an enormous hit, thanks partly to being featured within the film Batman Perpetually. It landed on the highest ten charts in a number of international locations, and ultimately went quadruple platinum within the US. On the 1996 Grammys, it gained Track of the 12 months, Document of the 12 months, and Finest Male Pop Vocal Efficiency.

“Kiss from a Rose” turning into successful was not a foregone conclusion, although. Seal nearly didn’t report it. And when it was first launched, it didn’t make a lot of a splash. However for this episode, Seal and his longtime collaborator, producer Trevor Horn, advised me the story of what it took to carry “Kiss from a Rose” to life.
