“Handed Me By”
Yaeji is a singer, songwriter, and producer from New York. Throughout her childhood, she moved between Queens, Atlanta, and Seoul. Whereas she was in school within the States, she began DJing, and releasing her personal music. That led to 2 EPs in 2017, and since then, she’s additionally completed remixes for Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, and Robyn. Yaeji gained the Worldwide Breakthrough Award on the AIM Awards in 2020. This week she’s releasing her debut album, With A Hammer.
For this episode, I talked to Yaeji about her music “Handed Me By.” She sings the music in Korean and English, and she or he advised me how utilizing each languages offers her a broader palette to precise her concepts.
